I have recently been made aware the extent to which abstract art can cause discomfort and possibly full blown anxiety in some people. I have also witnessed other kinds of reaction including indifference, confusion and even anger. This is so curious to me and it is my goal to explore why these feelings exist and how we can move forward into your happy place. My perfect home includes every kind of art. Regardless of the 'style' or colour or (presumed) oddness, the pieces that you select to be surrounded by should only really answer one question: do you want to look at it? Once you've established that tiny yet significant element, you should be able to move through the experience of purchasing and displaying with certitude. I do feel fortunate that I have always had a confidence in my own art collection and how to hang it in my space. And it's that confidence that I hope to share with you (if you need it) as we explore the wonderful world of Abstracts. After all, Abstracts are simply a mishmash of colour. Possibly (and hopefully) your favourites!
