With over fifteen years of experience producing specialty wall finishes, Sarah Moffat has acquired an indispensable knowledge of colour and visual integrity which now inspire her efforts as she turns her attention to working on a smaller, more portable scale.
Inspired by her days at Toronto’s Ontario College of Art and Design in the mid-eighties, she has again immersed herself in unconditional expression through a wide variety of techniques and diverse subject matter. This non-conforming attitude infuses her work with a fresh and often child-like freedom, flitting from glimpses of the natural world to pure abstract expressions, solidifying color and form into a highly visual and tactile experience. Even when using traditional materials and subjects, Moffat often incorporates metallic foils and varied textures, adding a unique sense of depth and light interaction.
Born in Toronto in 1966, Moffat’s childhood included time living on a boat in the Bahamas and in a family-run restaurant/hotel in Mont Tremblant. Moffat now lives and works in Carleton Place, Ontario.

In September 2025, I reached a very meaningful milestone of ten years at the gallery that I started building in April of 2015.
I opened the doors that September and am so grateful for the love and support over the years.
Looking forward to another decade of creativity and connection.
