It's been a busy year! There has been so much interest and I am grateful that you all have stayed in touch and are eager to be back in the studio together. Early 2025 has different class options including plenty of room for private lessons, or custom dates if you already have a tribe. Personalized Gift Certificates are available.

There are so many ways to add detail like flowers, with pigments, alcohol inks or metallic foil
Finish with a layer of coloured epoxy for real depth
We'll finish by adding a layer of coloured epoxy which will enhance the depth of colour and add a beautiful lustre

One of my favourite things to teach because I loved learning it at Ontario College of Art. I accidentally ended up having to take an entire year of colour theory and have never looked back

Northern Lights Saturday June 21st
Magic with the help of holographic foil
We will use a combination of foils to create the base for these paintings. The depth you achieve in combination with tinted epoxy is like no other medium. It is the closest representation to actual Northern Lights that I have seen, and is a blast to work with
We start by laying down a full layer of holographic foil. This sets the tone for your painting either as a landscape or a vertical with or without a horizon line for a lake or a mountain range

Once we've laid down the foil we will paint in our details such as trees, mountains, silhouettes. Even if you feel that you can't paint, I can show you easy techniques that will help achieve a very realistic look. I have lots of photographs and images to select from to help you with your inspiration

Once we have added our sky blue epoxy with flashes of neon greens, turquoise and other flares of brilliant colour we might add some extra twinkle

I have lots of inspiration on hand. There will be loads of pre-made metallic and holographic mushrooms if all shapes and sizes to choose from that you can detail. You can even collage from a selection of prints that I have collected that might include little bunnies, butterflies hedgehogs etc. Or you can paint your own. I can help!
